Website Redesign For A Regional Insurance MGA

Throughout 2025, I led the project management of a website redesign process for a regional insurance MGA based out of the southeast United States that serves retail insurance agents across multiple industries.

Challenge

The client’s existing website, last redesigned in 2020, no longer reflected their current offerings.

Since then, they had expanded underwriting products and industries while phasing out older offerings

Additionally, the site lacked any photos or videos of the team or their new office, limiting marketing opportunities and making it difficult for agents to clearly navigate the client’s products and industry solutions.

Solution

We built a new website to more accurately reflect the client’s evolving brand and offerings.

The approach included:

Project Management & Coordination
  • Gathered requirements and analyzed the existing site structure.
  • Developed a new sitemap to support expanded products and industries.
  • Coordinated a cross-functional team of designers, developers, and videographers.
Design & Content
  • Created dedicated pages for each underwriting product and industry, ensuring clear navigation for retail agents.
  • Worked with the design team to develop a moodboard and page mockups aligned with the client’s branding.
Photography & Video
  • Conducted a one-day on-site shoot at the client’s office to capture professional photos and video content for the website and future marketing collateral.
Technical Implementation
  • Developed the website in WordPress using Elementor, providing the client with a flexible platform for ongoing updates and content management.
  • Optimized site layout to improve navigation and accessibility for retail agents, while also supporting internal marketing needs.

Results

  • A modern, professional website that clearly showcases the client’s products and industries.
  • Improved navigation and user experience for retail agents accessing specific underwriting solutions.
  • Internal teams gained flexible access to manage content and leverage visual assets for marketing purposes.

Impact

  • Underwriters can now easily share links to specific products or industry pages with retail agents.
  • Marketing teams can incorporate on-site photos and video in campaigns and collateral.
  • The client now has a website that grows with them, supporting current offerings and future expansion.

Key Takeaways

  • On-site photo and video capture is critical for authentic, versatile content.
  • Planning for content flexibility ensures long-term usability and reduces reliance on developers for routine updates.
  • Cross-functional coordination and clear role definition streamline complex website redesign projects.
