In 2016, I earned a digital marketing specialization through a MOOC developed by the University of Illinois and offered on Coursera. Our capstone project was a cohesive, comprehensive digital marketing plan in which Grainger – a leading supplier of maintenance, repair, and operations products – tasked us with developing a channel strategy to increase sales of Bosch power tools on its website. My plan focused on creating brand awareness for the target audiences through email marketing and display advertising. Among hundreds of projects, mine was recognized as a class leader by a panel of both professors and client representatives.
A U of I representative said of my project: “Your performance was outstanding in this capstone course and your work is one among the [top 13%] that have been selected to submit to the client representatives.”
